Paying participants that both supply shared signals and decide local platform responses
GIFCT member technology companies
GIFCT member technology companies are the organisations admitted under the forum's criteria and responsible for annual tiered dues. They can contribute qualifying hashes and feedback, while access to the shared database requires an additional information-sharing agreement. Membership alone does not show a completed technical integration.
Conditions, discretion and organisational remedies
The published criteria include reporting and appeals processes, transparency and rights commitments. Mandatory dues began in 2025, without a disclosed per-member payment allocation in the retained aggregate. GIFCT says platforms retain their moderation decisions. The Code's sanction process allows a member ten business days to appeal and gives the Operating Board thirty business days to affirm, change or reverse the decision. That is a remedy for a participating organisation facing sanctions, not a content author's appeal against a platform removal.

conditions shared-tool access on membership and agreement
Current criteria include reports/appeals, transparency and rights commitments; HSDB access requires information-sharing agreement. Integrated or integrating does not mean all named members are operational. No private agreement content was acquired.

must pay tiered annual membership dues
Mandatory dues reported from 2025; current membership page observed September 2026.
Mandatory dues began in 2025; current criteria require annual tiered contributions. The report’s combined member/external total is not attributed wholly to any named company, and no per-member payment amount is inferred.
GIFCT member technology companies → GIFCT Operating Board
may appeal organizational sanctions through the Code process
Organization has 10 business days after notice to appeal; Board has 30 business days to affirm, change or reverse, potentially consulting IAC. Final within that process; not a content author’s platform remedy.
GIFCT Hash-Sharing Database → GIFCT member technology companies
supplies matching information while platforms retain decisions
Cryptographic/perceptual signals assist identification. GIFCT says it does not dictate enforcement; actual provider configuration, review and outcome need separate records.

contribute qualified hashes and labels
Member-supplied signals and feedback are documented; GIFCT also can create hashes. Admission under taxonomy is distinct from a platform moderation verdict.

reported correcting labels and removing hashes
Dated 2022/2025 report accounts, not a verified universal correction service-level agreement.
2022 account describes review/sample corrections and a separate nonviolent music-video removal. Another member sees contributor withdrawal at its next access. Nonrandom feedback does not establish a database-wide error rate; no recipient processing or restoration proved.
