External reviewer supplying a finite reference-list audit and correction notification

Concentrix — audit provider

Concentrix is the named attestation author for a 2023 review of a particular NCMEC hash list. Its report describes review of 538,922 unique files between 16 October and 8 December 2023. NCMEC later credited the audit as donated professional services.

Exceptions and reported response

The attestation identifies 59 exceptions: fifty files judged outside the stated definition, five cartoons or anime also outside it, two unplayable videos and two uncertain ages. Concentrix says it notified NCMEC and was told all 59 were removed within five business days. The reported 99.99% agreement applies to that reviewed list and version. NCMEC valued the donated service at $300,000, with no separate currency annotation in the retained account. No independent deletion log, recipient-wide correction record or complete audit workpapers were acquired.

From the investigation

Review and removal: a specific public record

Page3 says Concentrix notified NCMEC and was told that NCMEC removed all59 in less than five business days. This is a concrete auditor-reported correction notification, not an independently observed deletion log or proof of recipient-wide correction. Reported99.99% agreement concerns that reviewed list/version; it is not all NCMEC environments or future datasets. The entire audit contract, workpapers and downstream acknowledgements remain unacquired.
