Continuing policy network linking UK model development, consultation and Australian reform
The Online Safety Network is the policy network formerly called the Online Safety Act Network; it announced its new name on 1 September 2026. It carries expertise and convening work from Carnegie UK's online-safety programme into regulatory implementation and international policy discussion.
Carnegie's October 2023 transition statement said Woods and Walsh would continue through the new network with Reset support. In June 2024 its Australian review submission advocated systems-focused duties and alignment with UK and EU approaches. Its UK submissions addressed illegal harms and children's safety. Ofcom later named the network among civil-society contributors to feedback on age assumptions. The privacy notice describes an informal network without formal membership and identifies Reset as operator of its website, newsletter and shared inbox.
