Shared analytical infrastructure commissioned by government
The Counter-Disinformation Data Platform is a UK government project intended to support information sharing and analysis of misinformation, disinformation and manipulative behaviour across departments. A January 2026 ministerial answer identifies Faculty Science as its developer.
The October 2021 business case proposed discovery and delivery phases. Treasury announced £8.4 million in Shared Outcomes Fund pilot funding, naming several participating departments and agencies; that announcement is not a supplier-payment ledger. The September 2023 tender covered development, hosting and maintenance with an indicative £500,000–£920,000 budget. Its requirements assign priorities to a DSIT product manager and testing to analysts. The 27 January 2026 answer confirms the named development role, without establishing operational effectiveness or individual referral outcomes.

The 27 January 2026 ministerial answer to question 106529 separates two functions: GSN provides analysis of online misinformation/disinformation narratives relevant to UK public safety and national security; Faculty Science develops the Counter-Disinformation Data Platform (CDDP). The question itself misspells the supplier names; the answer is the attribution anchor. This is an official role account, not a technical or effectiveness audit.

That supports an attributed claim of participation. It does not specify what PUBLIC delivered for CDDP, whether it held a direct commission or a subcontract, the relevant legal entity, a fee, a work period or an accepted deliverable. The original CDDP procurement link now redirects to the marketplace homepage. The retained official contract, however, exposes a precise missing record: the buyer's approved key-subcontractor identities in the project-management call-off are redacted. That is a credible location where PUBLIC's role might be resolved, without identifying PUBLIC as an obscured entry.
