Shared vocabulary for child-safety investigations

Lantern signal taxonomy

The Lantern signal taxonomy is the programme's maintained set of investigation labels. Uploads require official tags and review or severity context; supplemental tags cannot serve as the sole classification.

Who maintains the labels

Tech Coalition maintains the official taxonomy in collaboration with participants, and companies may propose updates. The public reports do not identify a particular member's veto or a completed proposal-and-approval history. A cross-platform tag such as Steam is a descriptive tag, not evidence that the named service participates in Lantern or imposed a specific sanction.
