Shared reference collection and update channel connecting submissions to recipient systems

StopNCII reference/status dataset

The StopNCII reference and status dataset contains fingerprints, cases, contribution categories and feedback used by participating platforms. Its documented inputs include public users, reviewed nonprofit submissions and provider submissions. It is the maintained information layer underneath the public service and recipient matching workflows.

Inputs, withdrawal and reported use

The public workflow says the original image remains on the user's device while a hash is shared. Whole-case withdrawal requires the case number and password, with no recovery if they are lost; the privacy notice promises erasure and instructions to partners. API documentation describes multiple institutional input states and limited deletion-marker availability. Microsoft reported action on 268,899 Bing image results by the end of August 2024, while Snap reported daily updates and exclusion of withdrawn/deleted entries on specified surfaces. Neither account supplies a paired withdrawal-to-restoration trace.

What the records show

South West Grid for Learning Trust / SWGfLStopNCII reference/status dataset

documents provider credentials and several input categories

API describes CSP submissions, NGO-reviewedActive and public-userReceived entries, associated cases and independent feedback. Public-user eligibility is not the only institutional input; described types are not proof every function is deployed.

StopNCII reference/status datasetStopNCII recipient platform — role

documents status changes and limited deletion-marker availability

Recipients are asked to record status changes; delayed pagination can miss deleted records. Printed6and15wording must not become one tested universal deletion clock. No downstream restored-item trace acquired.

StopNCII public submitter — roleStopNCII reference/status dataset

can request whole-case withdrawal using credentials

FAQ requires case number/password; no recovery if lost. Full notice promises SWGfL erasure and partner erasure instructions. No actual request, delivered instruction or recipient compliance established.

StopNCII recipient platform — roleStopNCII reference/status dataset

can contribute and withdraw its own submissions in the documented interface

API documents provider feedback replacement/removal, timestamps and own-submission withdrawal. Batch management expressly unimplemented; text/URLexamples are not observed censorship records.
