From the investigation

The mechanism worth adding

Josh Nelson signed an FEC comment in 2022 , PDF page 9, as Civic Shout CEO and Juggernaut Project cofounder; current company posts continue to identify him with its leadership. Elliott Golden's own professional résumé identifies him as Civic Shout lead product designer/cofounder during 2016–2018; his résumé is not a current ownership register. Wide Eye's July 2017 project account describes working with Golden and Stand Up America on the earlier Messenger-based service. This older product history means generic listings claiming a 2018 founding or 2022 launch need qualification. Marie Bergen is currently named Head of Joint Actions on the official hosting page .

A philanthropic route into audience acquisition

The fundraising page offers a $25,000 package supporting one nonprofit with 30,000 opt-in subscribers and consultation, and a $500,000 package for 20 groups in a donor-selected issue area. Its team page names Nelson, Beth Becker and Golden. This is an explicit way for philanthropic money to subsidize organizations' audience-building, with shared people between commercial platform and project. It does not disclose actual donor receipts, contracts, transfer pricing, grant-selection authority or private benefit. No claim of improper self-dealing follows.
