Platform operator and contributor of enforcement software
Discord is a communications platform whose age checks and internal safety systems are both represented here. It uses external verification providers for some age-assurance routes, while its own Osprey rules engine became part of the open tooling offered by ROOST.
July and August 2026 company pages describe regional verification methods and limited card or Google Wallet tests. UK users who do not verify retain accounts, direct messages and voice access, with specified content and settings restricted. Separately, Discord reported donating Osprey in July 2025. Its December engineering account described roughly 400 million daily actions across 2,288 rules; an action need not be a removal or violation. Production rules, private functions and access controls extend beyond the public engine. The age-appeals support exposure belongs to a separate historical data-custody path.

It says those declining retain account, DMs, voice, friends and servers, with the stated restrictions. It describes on-device facial estimation, document checks and a GoogleWallet test; methods are not interchangeable disclosures. This refines existing Discord/k-ID/Wallet edges rather than inventing another deployment. Its privacy and deletion statements are company claims, not tested properties.

The live canonical August 10 page instead says age group + country and omits Incode. Use the live version for current claims; do not silently mix them or infer the engineering change/date from wording alone.
