Bridge between a public programme's advisory group and later corporate governance

Poppy Wood

Poppy Wood is a registered Reset Tech UK director, appointed on 5 July 2023. Earlier, a July 2021 government account listed her as Reset Tech Senior Advisor on the Online Safety Data Initiative's expert group, giving two separately dated roles in technology-policy work.

What the records establish

The July 2021 group roster included public regulators, researchers and civil-society participants alongside Wood. In May 2025 Reset Tech UK's replacement articles made directors company members; her significant-control notification uses 7 May as the date she became registrable. The constitutional voting rules and registered control bands still need reconciliation rather than conversion into an assumed ownership percentage.

From the investigation

A direct Reset connection, with a defined remit

The roster includes Poppy Wood, then Senior Advisor at Reset Tech , alongside ICO technology-policy head Ali Shah, Ofcom technology-policy lead Fred Langford, NSPCC policy head Andy Burrows, Open Data Institute programme lead Jack Hardinges, BBC product manager Jon Howard, Web Foundation adviser Azmina Dhrodia, Bristol researchers Asma Vranaki and Claudia Peersman, and Oxford researcher Jun Zhao. Roles are as listed in July2021, not claims about current employment. Poppy Wood's later Reset UK directorship/member-control records are separate dated relationships already in the case.

Instruments and reading scope

Companies House filing history records articles and adoption resolution filed21May2025. The resolution is headed7May2025 and replaces the previous articles immediately; it bears Dale Benjamin Scott's agreement as the voting member. Poppy Wood's PSC notification, filed19May2025, gives7May2025 as the date she became registrable. The resolution is evidence of this adoption decision, not a permanent personal veto. Its signature date is printed5/7/2025 alongside the explicit7May heading; do not reinterpret it as a later July action. A separate source anomaly is that its header prints company number4982650 while the official docket and attached articles identify14982650. Retain this discrepancy rather than silently correcting a quotation or inventing another company.
