The Alliance for Intellectual Property is a coalition representing intellectual-property interests. Its published submissions advocate stronger online business accountability, and RUSI acknowledges it as one of five co-funders of a 2021 report on intellectual-property crime.
Its internally dated August 2020 CMA response proposes business-identity checks and infrastructure consequences. September 2021 parliamentary evidence seeks a suitable legislative vehicle across online infrastructure. RUSI's corrected March 2021 report acknowledges Alliance co-funding without amounts or contractual editorial rights. A May 2026 public post also identifies Alliance representative Dan Guthrie at a reported PIPCU agreement-signing event; attendance establishes neither a funding contribution nor a right to select police work.
