Vendor-defined default connecting external signals to advertising eligibility
Highly Illicit: Do Not Monetize is a DoubleVerify category introduced in 2025 to affect advertising suitability decisions. Its construction uses selected external information and the vendor's own judgement, rather than simply reproducing every notification or URL in an outside source.
On 13 February 2025 DoubleVerify announced that this category and a peer-to-peer category would be enabled by default, with distribution to more than one hundred platform partners. Its 24 April release reported default enablement as operational. That release and IWF's May announcement described future URL List incorporation; a later IWF annual-report testimonial describes integration of IWF signals. These dated company accounts do not establish an exact deployment date, every customer's configuration or a recipient-wide correction chain.
