The Survival and Flourishing Fund is a grant-recommendation programme supporting work on humanity’s long-term prospects, including AI safety, policy and related communities. SFF is best understood as an allocation process. It gathers and assesses funding opportunities, then publishes recommendations identifying recipients, amounts and sometimes funding sources or conditions. The records cover established research organizations, policy work, community projects and specific initiatives. This makes SFF a place where broad concern about long-term risks becomes choices among particular people and projects.
Its 2025 process gives Jaan Tallinn a described role in setting deference weights for recommenders and making final adjustments. Those rules matter because the outcome depends on how judgments are combined. Talos acknowledges FLI, Coefficient Giving and Survival and Flourishing Fund support. However, the funding disclosure gives no dates or individual allocations, and expressly denies donor involvement in fellow selection, content and strategy.
