Campaign organiser and policy convener

The Future Society

The Future Society is an AI-governance organisation that co-organised the Global Call for AI Red Lines, ran the Athens Roundtable and helped organise international workshops. Named staff handled campaign management, signatory recruitment and policy outreach, making its operational role visible beyond a partner logo.

How the organisation is supported and connected

Effektiv Spenden reports forwarding organisational support, with an update describing a combined EUR114,000 allocation. SFF tables list general-support recommendations sourced from Jaan Tallinn of USD97,000 in 2024 and USD336,000 in 2025; earlier 2023 recommendations named FLI and Tallinn separately. These are not a campaign expenditure account. TFS also co-leads an independent red-lines subgroup within UNESCO’s civil-society network and describes a verified-redlines partnership with Fathom. These links give it several routes from advocacy into continuing policy work.

From the investigation

Organizer resources behind the Global Call for AI Red Lines

The strongest financial connection is a shared intermediary: Effektiv Spenden reports supporting both CeSIA and The Future Society after Longview Philanthropy recommendations. These are organizational funding records. A separate CeSIA solicitation explicitly budgets Red Lines diplomatic follow-through. No inspected record establishes a paid, campaign-restricted grant, the launch's total cost, or donor authority over its wording.

AI advocacy: capacity, selection and editorial authority

The Global Call for AI Red Lines supplies a documented campaign-production chain: drafting, management, partner feedback and signatory work have named roles. CeSIA, The Future Society and CHAI are organisers; ControlAI and FLI provided partner feedback. The Call is distinct from ControlAI's A Narrow Path . Evan Hubinger's signature does not assign him every proposal advanced by another participant. Advocacy and summit access also remain separate from government adoption. This branch supplies real coordination, with a bounded object and purpose. A4
